Her extended family donned full Weird Al Yankovich outfits, complete with frizzy hair and bright shirts, and sang an entire song parody for the newlyweds. During the cocktail hour we took 15 minutes to sneak away to a private library where Erin and Steven channeled their inner Game of Thrones vibes for an epic portrait.Īs wedding photographers there are not many things that surprise us at weddings anymore, but Erin’s “cousin dance” was definitely something we’ve never seen before. The ceremony was held in a gorgeous wine cellar with beautiful soft window light and a mezzanine level which gave us birds eye view. It was our first time at Stone Tower Winery and we absolutely fell in love with this charming wedding venue with the sweeping views of the vineyard for an absolutely breathtaking backdrop. Despite the obvious challenges the day brought to E + S, they focused on what mattered the most – each other and celebrating the sh*t out of their day!
Oh those fun days we didn’t know what quarantine was! Their Stone Tower Winery wedding happened at the very beginning of the corona madness, and though we didn’t know yet how much we were all going to be impacted by it, the day will certainly be a historical one for the books. We already spent a quiet afternoon in Old Town Alexandria during their engagement shoot and a not-so-quiet day in Death Valley kicking salt water and getting sand in places that have no business having sand. By the time we were dancing our butts off and rolling on the floor at Erin & Stevens wedding reception, we felt like we were all long time friends.
